My Snorlax was caught in a neighborhood. The first attack is Lick (ghost)(10) and the second is Earthquake (ground)(60) 1 blue bar.
Mine either. Kick and Earthquake. Earthquake is most common I presume
My Snorlax has Zen Headbutt as his Quick Move and Hyper Beam as his charge move.
I got zen headbutt (psychic) hit for 15 as normal skill and body slam as second skill. It hit for 50 and has 2 blue bars.
He can have Hyper Beam as well. It's a 1 bar charge.
Mine has lick and body slam(2 bars).
Mine has psychic and earthquake
I hatched a 10km egg last night, and it was Snorlax. He had Lick and Hyperbeam. He hatched with a CP of 1719. =D !
base on the dps of lick and his body slammed, along with his hp, its safe to assume that snorlax is the strongest pokemon in pokemon go. despite other lists ranking dragonite and lapras above him.
"Mine has psychic and earthquake" You have 2 charge attacks.. You're screwed, liar :D
Mine has lick and body slam :P CP 1734
I hatched a 10km egg at level 12 and got a Snorlax with 137CP..
Is level 12 really that low to get 137? I feel robbed.
I'd say you got robbed -- I was lucky and found a Snorlax this morning as soon as I sat down at my desk at work. I'm also level 12 and my Snorlax has a CP of 440. Which is still low, but definitely better than 137. I know getting Pokemon from eggs instead of finding them are different, but still, I agree, you got screwed over :(
At this point I feel I should save my 10km eggs until I am a higher level to hatch it, say level 20? Maybe would get something with a higher CP.
If you get the egg at low level it will have low cp i tested myself
I got my snorlax off of a lure someone had set. His CP is 944 and his moves are lick and body slam. Pretty stoked he is the best you can get with the 4th highest normal attack dos move and the number 1 dps charge attack. Now I just need some Snorlax candies so I can make him unstoppable.
OK so last night at 11:30 I caught my first snorlax, it's pretty ferocious. Lick and Hyper Beam...1850cp......IVs of 89.9-91.1% he is an absolute power house! I also hurt my foot hopefully I can walk to town tomorrow been having so much fun!
Mined hatched with 1750 cp 200 health and 25 candies. Luck and body slam. It's gunna be a good day =).
Mine has zen headbutt power 12, earthquake power 100...
I'm at level 27 and I've just catched a 2061 with 216hp snorlax with lick and body slam but I have 2 other at 1788 and 1686 with Hyper Beam at 120 not 70 like your wrote in your database !!
they just change all the moves and damages. lick is now 5 and hyperbeam is now 120. so it looks like the moves now doesnt matter as much as base attack. all fast moves now should be doing around 10 dps. and the charged moves are more powerful KO moves.
In my memory, normal attack can't hit ghost type. Is it still happen in pokemon go?
Now there is no "zero effect", only either 1.2 times or 0.8 times;
so lick will have 0.8 times power on normal type.
How do you determine your optimal move set? Because it appears that the "ideal" moves listed on this site are always the moves with the highest DPS. Normaly that works out fine but for Snorlax here, my math says Lick and Hyper Beam yield the highest DPS out of the 6 possible combinations. This is taking into account the new damage values, the number of fast attacks to build up a charge attack, and how long the charge attack takes before you can start fast attacking again. According to my calculations ^_^ my combinations yields 18.2 DPS where as your suggested combination of Zen Headbutt & Body Slam yields 13.6 DPS. Please let me know if I'm mistaken.
hatched my snorlax. 1891, perfect moveset, 88.7% perfect in Ivs ;)
By perfect do you mean, Zen Headbutt and Body Slam? Cause Lick and Hyper Beam yield a higher combined DPS.
Got mine from a 10km egg yesterday. Has zen headbutt and earthquake.
I've hatched two Snorlax from 10km eggs so far. Both are over 2100 cp now,IV stats at 80%+ and one has lick/hyperbeam and the second one has lick/bodyslam. Lvl 24
Lick & Hyper Beam is the best combination Snorlax can get.
Hatched from a 10km egg with Zen Headbut and Body Slam. Makes a great tank.
Hatched at 1749 cp with lick and hyperbeam . I was beyond thrilled. Trainer level 23
Hatched from a 10 km egg today with 1749 CP with lick and hyperbeam as moves. I was so thrilled
My 10K hatched a 1753/199 Lick/Slam Snorlax with 32 snorlax candy. I've bumped it up to 1928/209. As such, it has taken out a couple 2200+ Dragonites, one on one, with zero dodging (slow connections). Just caught a neighborhood 1644/188 Snor, with Zen and Earthquake. Not the best, but I'll try him out with all fast attack and see how he does.
My snorlax 1755CP has got lick and body slam
For those who don't have have snorlax with body slam.... I'm sorry keep looking. Body slam is really hard to defend against. Despite his actual fast attk either lick or Zen headbutt.... But body slam is what will keep a gym longer or annoy the person battleing.
To determine the best snorlax just battle one. Zen and body slam will crush you b4 a hyperbeam. The easiest skill to dodge ever!!!! You may be able to battle better with hyper beam but defending the gym ( the part that counts) you need Zen and body slam. Or you will loose it evrytime way easier
Caught my 4th snorlax today. 1860, lick & hyper beam, 15/14/14 IV. Best one yet. I've caught 2 of them in neighborhoods, one at a Walmart, and one in a parking lot.
I'm level 11 and I caught a Snorlax when I was in my house. 883 pc, lick and hyper beam
got my 2nd snorlax 1443 CP.lick 5,and hyper beam 120.
as a non dodger, fighting a snorlax with hyperbeam is devastating. The ones with body slam are much easier to kill since they does a low amount of damage compared.
When you take into account the number of attacks to charge your special attack your dps for the posted best attack combo is actually really low. best calculated combo is lick and hyperbeam. this website needs to be recalculated to include all variables as a few are incorrect.
Caught my second Snorlax 953 CP, 147 HP, lick and earthquake moveset
I caught one cp945 with lick and body slam lvl22. It just popped out of the blue when i was strolling around
Finally got an egg hatch with 80% IV (12/12/12) 1730CP Snorlax w/ Zen and Body Slam. Worth powering him up or should I keep looking?
been boosting my Snorlax for a while now. 2619/242 98% IV (Attack 15 - Defense 15 - Stamina 14) - level 28. Wild caught at just over 2000 CP.
Caught 1039 cp with lick 5 body slam 40 I just got it from 10k egg this morning in hong kong do u guys think it's good?
My Snorlax got 1069CP caught it just now in a park. Took 6 Ultraballs and Razz berries to catch it. Im so happy. It got Zen headbutt and Hydro Pump.
I am level 28, just hatched a 10km egg and got a 1897 snorlax with Zen Headbutt and Hyper Beam - IV test at 88.9%
I have a 2716 Snorlax (lick/Hyperbeam). I think at least the last 5 powerups have been stuck at 22 CP each. What's up with that? At 6000 SD and 6 candies, those are really painful.
Lick and Body Slam, at 26 lvl, my first
I think that has to do with ivs... your snorlax must not be getting the normal cp per power up because his if must be very low!
I caught half a dozen Snorlax in the wild with one at 98.9% perfection with Zen headbutt and Earthquake and one with 72% perfection with the perfect skill (Zen headbutt and body slam) which one is better to level up? The perfect one is at 1488 cp but the perfect skill one is at 2133 cp
Since Snorlax also has Psychic and Ground moves, shouldn't the page also list what those are effective and not effective against?
(actually, about my previous comment, Snorlax also has Ghost move as well)
My 93% perfect snorlax has a horrible moveset. Hyper beam and zen headbutt, so not only does my charge move stink and take forever to charge because of zen headbutts horrible 4 energy, but it sucks too, taking over 5 seconds to do the full attack, and way too long to charge it up. Zen headbutt is junk, might as well transfer it, because lick is just too good, and zen sucks so bad, your snorlax will never be any good with zen. I am so frustrated, I just want a good pokemon, not this junk. I have hatched way too many 10k eggs to be let down over and over. All Ive got out of 10k eggs the past 2 weeks is 5 scyther and 5 pinsir not even kidding, exclusively those two useless pokemon.
Actually Zen Headbutt and Body Slam are the best for a Snorlax as defender. So I would not cry to much.
With Hyper Beam as charge move, Lick is a much better standard attack, if you are attacking. But not as a defender. And Snorlax is first and foremost a gym-tank, so I'd be glad with Zen Headbutt and Body Slam.
I realize Fighting, flying, etc are effective against Snorlax, but only thing to knock out 2900+ Snorlax, and not be beaten bt the clock, is at least 2400 Lapras with many other ice/water pojemon
Just now Hyper Beam does 150 not 120. Update with Gen 2.
Snorlax is capable of new moves now as well. I hatched one today that has the steel move Heavy Slam, 2x charge bars and damage of 70
I just caught one with Zen Headbutt/Hyperbeam and 84% IV. Oh and the CP was not that bad 2780.
Just caught a 96% stat/IV Snorlax (15/15/13) with 2198 CP and Zen Headbutt and Heavy Slam :D.
despite playing daily, snorlax seems to be the rarest obtainable pkmn in the game to me bar none -
i have not seen a snorlax in 6 months to this day. i haven't even hatched one. compared to my 4 recorded hatches of lapras and aerodactyl each, who both share snorlax's hatching odds.
the both i managed to get were found in the wild within my neighborhood.
the first is cp749 86.7% zenbutt/EQ, a mediocre non-stab set.
the second came almost a month later, cp543 80% lick/body slam.
for some reason niantic decided that 82.2% would be the cut-off between "caught attention" and "breathtaking" for in-game appraisals. silph road's IV rater gives "pretty solid" to anything between 80%-97.8% (they have their own message for 100%). i'd agree that it should've been 80%-100% for a breathtaking appraisal.
hatched a 10KM egg and got a 100% perfect IV snorlax with following moveset, Zen Headbutt and Hyperbeam. According to DP, this is the best moveset you can get for a Snorlax.
Nice!!!! I want to say though that Zen Headbutt/Heavy Slam is really Snorlax' new best gym defender moveset now that Snorlax can no longer spawn Body Slam. I know that this website as well as others ranks Zen Headbutt/Hyper Beam as Snorlax' ideal and best gym defender moveset, the only problem is Hyper Beam is so easy to dodge and has a long cool down period as well, while Heavy Slam is at least more difficult to dodge and can be used more frequently. I guess it's ultimately subjective though but I don't believe everything that I hear or read.
Just checked my old snorlax shows up i got legacy moveset😁
Imho lick/heavy slam la the best snorlax moveset right now. Lick is a powerful attacking move ( very fast, you can dodge vs raid bosses and tank them ) and heavy slam can harass the attackers... If snorly's motivation is high enough.
