I saw one of these in a gym 3100 cp. How the heck can I get my hands on one of these?
people bot so they have them already in gyms, don't bother, the ammount of their spawns is like 2 for now on the entire planet...
In the entire (huge) Metro Philly area, there are usually about 2 spawns somewhere at any given time, say about 4 an hour. Actual Tyranitars do spawn but very rarely, say maybe 1-3 times a day. That's over an area of about 140 square miles...so yes probably 98% of them you see in gyms are botting or spoofers. For the ones who are already 3,000+ CP it's basically assured.
As a practical matter, the majority of all accounts level 34 or higher are at least spoofing. That's what we're seeing at the popular gyms all around here, you go to attack one and there's no one around, then a 30-something trainer shows up in it. Plus when you do the math for what you would need to generate the ~5 million experience, it would be take many hours every single day even giving generous assumptions for high-spawn areas and bonuses and using eggs. A few will do it but mostly it's just cheaters.
It is pretty easy to get to level 34 without spoofing. Lucky eggs and grinding pidgeys, weedles, caterpies will do it..The game has been out since July....heck I know grandmas on 35..
I agree with most of what was said...EXCEPT for the part about most Level 34's are spoofing! My wife and I are both Level 33 and neither of us spoof!
I'm 34 and a half and I never have cheated. I just catch all the birds and worms possible and evolve them with lucky eggs. Sure I've spent about $100 on the game doing it but I love the game so it's worth it to me. I walk a lot at work so hatching eggs on my Apple Watch is nice.
Just caught the first tier one of this time to walk about 500k to get him leveled up Ohhh what fun. Since I live in a very rural area I will probably never see one again
I just finally collected enough candies to get mine. Hatch many and found a few wild ones. Thank go for the new berries that give extra candies.
Not everyone are bots. Start hatching those 10km eggs!
Yeah I got really lucky on 10k egg hatches. Just got mine but no candies to power up
I was beyond fortunate enough to catch one out in the wild yesterday on the way to work in Berwyn, IL thanks to the Hodgkins Discord Group. 2287 CP with Bite/Fire Blast. Caught him on the first try as well, with only one ultra ball and raspberry. I can't explain it in words, I've had Pidgeys with some 200 CP run on me even when resorting to using an ultra ball and even a Magikarp as well. I'm at level 33 now and from what I've heard catch rate decreases as one levels up. And I would imagine that Tyranitar's catch rate has to be very low as well, seeing as he's essentially the Gen 2 version of Dragonite. And I've had Dragonite and Aerodactyl run on me when using a raspberry/ultra ball as well, just.... how? Somebody's going to have to explain to me how this was even possible.
Just evolved my 89% IV Larvitar into a Tyranitar with Bite/Stone Edge :).
I received to 10k eggs near the bay. Hatched at same time while I was home and both were larvitar. Does location matter or which mons are nearby? Foster City CA
I Have Tyranitar 93 IV (14,14,14) with Iron Tail and Crunch. Shuld i power up this pokemon ?
I just caught a TTar in Houston. But its irontail/fire blast (1/10/3) but hey cant be picky
I got 15 of these with 8 90+ IV and 1 98 my min IV is 78. Got 3 with perfect move set
cp1027 wonder male bite/crunch derived from a wild caught pupitar. that was my first capture of the ttar family.
bite/crunch ttar is the highest dark DPS in the game.
most of the candies that went to that evolution derived from larvitar hatches. i found the ttar family to be exceptionally rarer over here than their kanto counterparts, the dragonite family, as the biome here is water-dominant.
I have one cp 1604 and I am lvl 28 I do not spoof/hack I just get lots of larvitars out n 10k eggs and my neighborhood is a nest for them.
Unbelievable how ignorant some of the comments are in here. I have NEVER spoofed or hacked the game in any way and I'm level 39 with several Tyranitar. They spawn frequently in my home Town in Northern Utah.. we get lots of Rock Pokemon. Go visit Utah and you'll see Tyranitar on lots of Gyms. Even low level players have them. That's their habitat.
Evolved my second Tyranitar and just in time for my birthday as well, this time with 91% stats/IV's (14/15/12) and Iron Tail/Crunch. Now I have one with the best attacking and gym defender movesets and a female for my future breeding program.
What are the advantages of a 3 bar charge move? Could someone please explain?
A 3 bar charge move can be used 3 times for every one time a one bar charge move is used
i spoof all the time because it seem everyone in my are spoof
I hatched 10km egg from pokestop near my home,Bangkok, and got perfect Larvitar.
It become 15/15/15 Tyranitar with bite/stone edge.
My third Tyranitar i made yesterday have 97,8 IV 15/15/14 with Iron Tail and Stone Edge. Its good for gym def but for atk shuld be good too (with Bite perfect). My first was with Iron Tail and Crunch so now i hunt good Tyranitar for attack but i havent lucky yet.
I wouldn't even pretend to know how to spoof or bot or whatever and I have one, though I had to wait until I was level 30 and he needs a lot of powering up. There are plenty of larvitars in Spokane Wa so if your hurting... don't know his IV because I don't care enough to learn how to figure it out beyond my appraisal tool. He battles with the best of them (the best he can get) and has perfect hp and defense, so I'm guessing he's good. He has bite and fireblast but I figure he's still a better defender than a rhydon.

And to whoever said there's no way people can accumulate that much xp, you're so wrong. I walk 2 miles to and from work everyday and catch about 20 Pokémon each way. Then I do ALL of my evolves while using a lucky egg which at 76 evolves (the most I've manged to do in one go) you're looking at 76,ooo xp in 30 minutes. More if any of those are new Pokémon at 2,ooo xp each. I do this about once a week and I'm a level 31 who has only been playing for three months. Play smart friend, not smarmy.
Gotta love Robert Hughes up there trying to make a case for his spoofing.
I love to spoof. I played this game fair to lvl 32 and now lvl 35-36
With a lot of spoofing. Spoofing help me to get everything (15 unknown
and load of all others). I use to complain like you all but what the heck
spoofing help me to get everything and that's was my aim anyway. Stop
complain and go learn to spoof (everyone doing it and it's much more fun
lying in my bed playing in Tokyo live in London)
I saw one of these in new Zealand but didn't have great balls yet so I couldn't catch it dm me on instagram @nz_shooter if you want to know more.
