Houndoom is the best counter for exeggutor, it resists both grass and psychic and every Houndoom's attack benefits from STAB and is supereffective against exeggutor, wich is a common defender. Great pokemon!
female cp1478 fire fang/fire blast. was a long time coming, houndour aren't common here at all (10 capture record on dex), and being a wild-only species makes a high-IV specimen elusive. pineap berries helped with getting the candies.
(10*6=60 candies)
houndoom is expected to be a hard counter to metagross gets when gen III hits.
I have fire fang and fire blast with 1704 cp houndoom.
