Nidoking's thick tail packs enormously destructive power. With one swing, it can topple a metal transmission tower. Once this Pokémon goes on a rampage, there is no stopping it. | |||||||||

Caught in town centre. Mine started with Fury Cutter and Sludge Wave
Mine has poison jab as its quick and Earthquake as its charge
Poison Jab and Sludge Wave for me.
Mine has Poison Jab and Earthquake but the Earthquake has a base 100 power not the 60 listed here.
I'd say the ideal moveset is Fury Cutter and Earthquake. Fury Cutter, although weak, is the fastest EPS move (30 EPS). You'll be able to use Earthquuake super early and it has STAB properties for more damage. I wouldn't recommend Fury Cutter for defending gyms though. Otherwise, Poison Jab and Earthquake is most well-rounded.
My best is Poison Jab and Megahorn. Spamming Poison Jabs and dodging charge moves.
I've got Fury Cutter and Earthquake. I was thinking, maybe I should keep this one because Fury Cutter builds up energy super fast and I can use Earthquakes pretty often with it. He obviously wouldn't do well as a gym guard because they have a set attack speed but for fighting gyms he might be good.
I also appraised him and he has really high HP and Attack
Is the Energy plus of the first move calculated per second or per attack? Because if a first attack hast the same energy plus but moves faster it might be better than a first attack with more dps... Here e.g. the weaker attack might be better for uploading the second move...
I just evolved nidorino to nidoking-1765 CP..fury cutter and earthquake
Personally I'm not convinced Nidoking actually can learn Earthquake, as I've evolved five of them so far (and caught one wild), and got just about every possible move set BUT Poison Jab/Earthquake. 625 candy and months of grinding down the drain.
Nidoran Male is one of my most common Pokémon in my area, but it took me hundreds to finally get a 92%+ IV stats. K finally evolved it and it had fury cutter and EQ. Think it's still useful as an attacker
Finally get a 95% Nidoking with the ideal moveset (poison Jab + Earthquake) and Niantic go and Nurf him!
WHY!?!
- Oh, but we'll increase Snorlax, which is the majority of peoples most used Gym Pokemon.
Finally got a Nidoking that I feel confident investing in, 96% IV's (14/15/14), with Poison Jab/Earthquake. If only Niantic hadn't decided to nerf him....
Mine have Iron Tail as fast attack. Its a new move, i guess.
My first Nidoking has an AWESOME moveset! Legacy Fury Cutter with Megahorn!!!
