awful moves...
These aren't awful moves. You want awful moves, go look at Kingler.
With Mud Slap/Earthquake, this thing could do some damage.
I actually feel like Dig is way underrated. 33 energy for a 70 damage attack with STAB is impressive, even if the animation takes a while. It only takes a couple Mud Slaps to build enough energy for a Dig, so it can be used almost continuously. Great Flareon killer.
There's a mistake. Earthquake rank w/STAB is not #8, but is #12
dig : 70 x 1.25 (stab) = 87.5 x 3 = 262.5
- 2 digs : 87.5 x 2 = 175
-- energy to fill 1 of dig's bar segments = 33
mud slap energy gain = 9
- 3 mud slaps = 36
earthquake : 100 x 1.25 = 125
2 shots of dig outdamage stab earthquake. 3 digs outdamage stab EQ by more than twice of stab EQ's amount.
dig's only turnoff is the long cooldown leaving the attacker vulnerable. but i agree that the move is rather underrated.
marowak's the only remotely viable mon to get stab on it.
