You can find them. I found a nest yesterday and caught over 7.
The key question is WHERE
Found two in a beach parking lot
You can find them throughout the trails, more specifically close to the river at Heritage Park in Farmington, Michigan.
Which Magnemite is the best to evolve? Spark/Magnet Bomb, Spark/Thunderbolt, or Thunder Shock/Discharge? I'm having trouble distinguishing on websites because I've only found sites that give suggestions on the Pokemon's to use in battles and not which ones are the best to evolve. Help is much appreciated and thanks in advance.
@Billy Lewis, the moveset doesn't matter. Your Magnaton will have a randomized moveset, not based on your Magnemite's moveset. Instead, check the IVs of each and evolve the one with the best percentage, preferably upper 80s or into the 90s.
I found about fifty at Boston's Logan airport
