Please update requirements. Android phones without gyroscope are not able to use AugmentedReality (AR) part of game. I tried on my own. Cheaper phones simply dont have gyroscope.

If you have a moto E2 for example, remember there is no gyroscop in it (NO LOCATION SERVICE), so it doenst fit the requirements!
Also there is only 1gb ram in it, but official you need 2gb ram!

i recently got a new phone called Samsung J3 and i do have 5.1.1 android version but my RAM is only 1.5 GB. However, sometimes i can access to the game but most of the time i am stuck in the loading screen and keeps giving me the message failed to log in or failed to get save data from server. Also if i sign out, i mostly get stuck from accessing the game and i need to keep retrying until it works but so so far no luck. Have a Samsung Galaxy s3 as well. It is 4.4.2 But Pokemon Go isn't even showing up In Playstore. When I go through the store on my PC, it says I have no compatible devices. Many people have the requirements but they game won't let them have it. Really, I think it started with good intentions but now it's just turned another way to lead people to buying the new 700 dollar phones.
Basically, If you can't afford Plans, Contracts, or just the plain damn 700 dollar phone and there are no name brand devices available for prepaid. You are pretty much are not allowed to be involved and the developers don't care t fix it. You either buy a new phone or don't play.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime - 1gb RAM - Android 4.4.4 - it runs. It's buggy though I'm not sure if it's the phone or the software at this point. Battery drains fast, phone gets hot, frequently have to reboot and/or take breaks to let the phone cool off.

Some sources tell you have to have compass function in your phone or your gaming experience will be somehow incomplete. Does anybody know how lack of compass will show in the game? I recently replaced my sons galaxy s4 (op. System 5.0.1) with another s4, and bout an s4 for my other son (as he couldn't get 'GO' on his iPhone 4). On 1 of the new s4 I can't even find 'GO' in the app store and the other phone is saying it's not compatible. Both have 5.0.1 on them. Any clues as to why were having this issue? Or how to fix it? Will it just all of a sudden show up one day? We had 'GO' on the other s4 so it doesn't make sense why it's not showing up/compatible on these 2 phones. Official version says my phone is incompatible but when you manually install the apk the game runs just fine, no problems.

it's working but it shutdown every 5-6 click or every 2 min.
So many bugs too that make it freeze.

We've got the game working on an 8GB iPhone 4s, to the point of being able to collect items, capture, evolve and even occasionally battle, but it's extremely slow and drains the battery as fast as it can recharge.

I have an Samsung S5 mini with android 5.1.1. and it says it's not compatible. However you can still download the app, use a usb cable to move it on the phone and install it. It will work just fine. The sad thing is that you need to update it manually because the phone is not compatible.
The reason why some phones are not compatible is at least funny. They said the phone must have at least 2 GB of RAM. Samsung S5 and S4 have only 1536 MB, but work just fine. My backup phone(an Yezz Andy) only has 1 GB of RAM but the game is available for that model :))

Everyone who has Android issues (incompatible, etc.), try sideloading the APK. Google can probably help you with that.
iPhone users, try sideloading the IPA with Cydia Impactor. Again, Google is your friend.
I learnt that Pokemon is not available in most African country like Nigeria and the rest.............
